School & Education Kits
Put a backpack, books and hope into the hands of a child returning to learning.
Project overview
For a child who has lost their classroom, their books and much of their normal life, a school kit is far more than stationery. It is a signal that learning matters again, that someone is invested in their future, and that today can look a little more like an ordinary school day.
Each kit is packed to get a child ready to learn from the first lesson: a sturdy backpack, notebooks and writing materials, a pencil case, a geometry set, and age-appropriate learning resources. For younger children we include early-literacy and numeracy materials; for older students, exercise books suited to their level.
We distribute kits through our temporary learning spaces and partner schools, so every kit lands with a child who is actually enrolled and attending. That keeps the project efficient and makes sure the materials are used, not stored — each kit reaches a desk, not a warehouse shelf.
Small as it is, a kit removes a real barrier. Families stretched to breaking point no longer have to choose between feeding a child and equipping them for school, and a child arrives in class with everything their peers have — ready, included and able to keep up.
